How We Customize Sublimation Mugs – Step by Step
Sublimation mugs are specially coated cups that allow full-color designs to be transferred using heat. Here's how the process works in a simple way:
Step 1: Create Your Design
We start by designing your artwork, logo, or photo using a computer. It can be anything you want to see on your mug.
Step 2: Print on Transfer Paper
The design is printed in reverse (mirrored) using sublimation ink on special transfer paper.
Step 3: Attach to the Mug
The printed paper is wrapped around the mug and secured tightly using heat-resistant tape.
Step 4: Heat Press
The mug is placed inside a heat press machine or oven at around 180–200°C (356–392°F) for a few minutes. The ink turns into gas and fuses with the mug’s special coating.
Step 5: Remove & Cool Down
Once done, we remove the paper, let the mug cool, and your design is now permanently embedded into the surface—vibrant, smooth, and dishwasher safe.
